The Monsoon Magic of Kerala

Kerala is a special place in different ways. One thing that could be pointed out is the monsoon. Kerala receives rain around six month in a year. Monsoons are really beautiful at Kerala. There is tourism which has become very popular called ‘Monsoon Tourism’. Who don’t want to enjoy the rain and get wet? Kerala Tourism Department is working on bringing out monsoon season in Kerala as a tourist season.

You can see monsoons as a season of umbrellas. Umbrellas of different colors can be seen here and there. The roads are maintained in a good condition during monsoons. April and May are the main seasons where monsoons become prominent. This is also the time when the schools for children are reopened. It will be cute to see children holding their small colorful umbrellas and walking on the roads.

Some places look more beautiful during monsoons. The monsoon starts from Kovalam. The Kerala monsoons have thunder and lightning along with heavy downpours. Kovalam is very famous tourist destination as tourists from India and abroad come here to see the coming of monsoons. Most of the news reporters choose Kovalam as monsoons first arrive at Kovalam.
