On your visit to Kerala, a visit to Kerala tree house will be truly amazing. A tree house is a house with all the required facilities on a tree. The tree houses are commonly seen at the northern Kerala. You will see tree houses at the 500 acres of pristine verdant tropical rainforest. The view from the tree house will be spectacular and the light breezes that flow through the forest will sooth you. The tree house is furnished from wood and it is kept on the top of a tree. Most commonly, they are kept 86 feet above from the ground level. Instead of ladders, some tree houses have lifts. The lifts are operated with a simple mechanism using the weight of water. Most of the Kerala Tree Houses has a double bed. Along with the spacious bed room that is painted, it also has an attached bathroom.
Just like any other house, the tree house also have telephone shower, wash basin, flushing toilette and many more. Some tree houses even have a television with a DVD player that you can use to watch some shows. You might use the sit out of the tree house and sit on a couch and watch the exquisite nature surrounding you.
The tree houses are constructed using the naturally occurring substances. The local craftsmen construct the tree houses using wood and ropes.
The tree houses were used by the tribals and the tribals use bamboo and leaves to make tree houses. The tree houses are used by tribals to escape from the attack of wild animals and also rain. The tree houses used by tribals are not with all the facilities. The houses were mainly used as a shelter rather than for a luxury stay.
Some tree houses have a mini kitchen where you can do some very quick cooking using vegetables. There are also services like food service where waiters will be supplying you prepared Kerala dishes. The Kerala dishes like fish curry, Kerala Sadya, Sambar and a lot more dishes will be served. The Kerala dishes are served on a plantain leaf that will be a very different experience altogether.
As the entire forest is covered with thick vegetation, there will be greenery everywhere. There will be hundreds of varieties of plants and trees around you. The landscape surrounding the tree house will be exquisite. The energy sources used for the tree houses are using Solar panels. The solar panels will capture energy from sunlight and also charge the battery. The power from the battery will be used for lighting of the tree house.
The tree houses are located mainly at rainforests. The altitude of these forests will be 3750 feet & 4500 feet from sea level. You will also smell the aroma of spices that are in the forest of Kerala. Kerala is a major exporter of spices. If you are lucky, you will see a lot of different kinds of birds. Take out the camera and capture some of the rarest birds that you can found at Kerala.
