KTIL Plans For Hot-Air Ballooning and Paragliding at Waga-Mon

Kerala Tourism Department is setting up an eco-friendly infrastructure so that the pollution rate becomes zero. There is an organization called Tourism Resorts Kerala Limited and it be converted to Kerala Tourism Infrastructure Limited. At the Emerging Ker-ala 2012 in September, the KTIL will be founded. The Kerala Tourism Department is expecting an investment from the investors to the six eco-friendly tourism projects. Private partnerships and public partnership are expected to join hands for this new venture. TRKL will be looking forward to the investments from both resident and NRI’s.

This will increase the tourism infrastructure of the state and the economy could be also improved. TRKL managing director Anilkumar S said that the Infrastructure development is indispensable for the growth of tourism in the state.
Just like INKEL (Infrastructure Kerala Limited) does development work for industrial sector, KTIL will be developing the tourism. At Emerging Ker-ala, six tourism projects have been put forward. These tourism destinations are attracting tourists and are a main source of income. 50 Crore or more investment has been invited for the tourism destinations.
Numerous new projects are planned for the tourist destinations like Waga-mon.

At Waga-mon, Adventure Sports Arena will be constructed. Here go-karting, paragliding and hot-air ballooning will be offered. There will be an underwater aquarium in Alappuzha. This will be first of its kind in Alappuzha. A Spice Valley Resort will be constructed in Devikulam. The popular tourist destinatiuns like Kovalam, Munnar will be also improved. The plastic waste at the tourist destinations are polluting the place and also hampering tourism. Due to this, the Kerala Tourism Department will be taking steps to remove the pollutants from the tourist destinations. Investments are also invited from both residents and NRIs. Kerala tourism has made higher income this year, compared to previous year.
