Best Emerging Tourist Destination Award Won by Odisha

A prestigious award is bagged by the Odisha Tourism Department. Travel + Leisure India and South Asia have rated Odisha as the best tourist destination. This is based on the reader survey. Manoranjan Pattnaik, who is the General Manager, Orissa tourism development corporation (OTDC) received the award. The award was given in the function in New Delhi.

The general manager said that the Odisha tourism development corporation was successful in identifying the new tourist spots of the state. Vibrant marketing was very effective for boosting the tourism of the Odisha State. Ashok Tripathy who is the Tourism secretary said that there have been developments in the tourism sector very lately.
OTDC is also now co operating with Goa Tourism Development Corporation. This will also boost the tourism between the two place says OTDC general manager.
