Tourism News Desk: In order to boost the tourism business at Kerala, the state is all set to launch a six month long massive campaign. Oommen Chandy, P K Kunhalikutty who is the Industries Minister and other Ministers and senior officials meet High Commissioners and Ambassadors of over 30 countries. There will be also representatives from multilateral and bilateral agencies. The discussions will be held on April 20 in New Delhi.
‘Emerging Kerala’ event is also coming soon. The event will be conducted in the month of September. There will be bilateral trade and discussions. To catalyze the growth through enabling policies will be the motive of the campaign. Kerala will be investor-friendly destination for improving the tourism opportunities. KSIDC Managing Director, Alkesh Sharma said that by improving the trade relations, state economy could be also improved.
There will be tourism; IT and IT enabled services, shipbuilding and logistics, agro processing in the summit. The summit will focus mainly on these areas. In order to present to potential investors at this event, there will be various project profiles. The project profiles are made by the public sector units and agencies.
With the partnership of National Association of Software & Services Companies (NASSCOM) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Emerging Kerala will be conducted. The nodal agency for the summit is Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC).
